Dear London, (Part 6)

With Tom & Chloe

We see the vibrancy of God’s creation in you.

London, we are thankful for the diversity our city contains and the ability to see so much more of God’s image through this; you are colourful and you are bright. We thank you for your endless opportunities and how you bring together God’s children from all different backgrounds. Help us to listen and learn from those around us so that we can better see the picture of who God is.

The heartbeat of London is strong, a city called home for so many, however it can sometimes feel like London is weary and lonely. I pray for the people of London, for those feeling isolated or alone in a city that keeps moving at speed. I pray that they would know the Father’s peace and love at all times

I pray that those new to the city would feel welcomed, as we have been, that God’s church here in London would be an example and a reminder of friends and family from where we have come from. I pray that you would soon call London home and know that even in a big city, you are valued, you are noticed and you are known.

Lord we pray for those that have been appointed in political positions of power in London, that they would know your heart for your people, and more importantly that they would know you. We pray that the people of London will come to know God as a Father and as a friend and we will continue to see His church grow in our new home.

Thank you for your busyness and your excitement, your diversity and your beauty. London, we thank you for welcoming us and becoming our home away from home.

Join us in church this Sunday in Parsons Green. Click here for info and to see what’s coming up this month.
